The research and development facility of Shriram Rayons (Recognized by DSIR, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India) is housed inside its main plant premises at Shriram Nagar, Kota, Rajasthan occupying an area of approximately 950 sq. metres. It consists of a pilot plant having viscose making & spinning facility and a fully equipped chemical laboratory. Apart from regular process and product testing activities, the facility is used to carry out the innovative research trials under the product development & diversification program. The R&D function at Shriram Rayons has been useful for maintaining product quality, improving productivity & reducing pollution over the years. The research team’s efforts also focus on waste reduction and utilization in order to reduce the carbon footprint in manufacturing activities. These activities are targeted to ensure that Shriram Rayons is aligned with the philosophy of sustainability.
