R esponsibility towards the society had always been one of the priority areas for DCM Group. Decades ago, when CSR was not mandatory, the DCM Limited, our predecessor, used to spent a good part of its earnings on the so called “CSR activities”. It had established several institutions of excellence, cultural centres, schools and colleges which continue to excel and remain landmarks.

DCM Shriram Industries Limited inherited the ethos followed by DCM Limited and continued to carry out CSR activities from inception. Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 has made it mandatory for companies fulfilling certain criteria to implement and report CSR policies. The Board of Directors of the Company also notified CSR Policy to be followed by the Company which is available under the said link.

The areas of CSR activities cover poverty alleviation, healthcare including preventive health for the populous around the company’s works, environment protection, promotion of education with special attention to education of differently abled children, promotion of art & culture, promotion of sports etc. Emphasis is given in undertaking the activities in the vicinity of company’s plants.
